We have been traveling in Colombia since 2015. For this study, I analyzed the best-rated glamping near Bogota (9+ rating on Booking). To compare them, I applied several criteria – explained at the end of this article. It took me 20 hours.

  • Cozy: 5/6. The domes are well built, and the room has a view of the reservoir and mountains. The bathroom is annexed but separated by a door for privacy. The private terrace will be perfect for your breakfast. Delicious food and excellent service.
  • Transportation: 1.5/2. It is easy to get to Guatavita by bus and then take a cab. The place is a bit complicated to find on Waze.

Hobu Montaña offers small wooden cabins in the countryside. It is a quiet place with its own golf course. If you are on a budget and don’t want to travel too far, this glamping near Bogotá is the perfect option.

  • Average price: 150 000 COP/2pers. No cancellation.
  • Quietness: 4/4. You are far from cities and noise.
  • Environment: 3/5. The view is nice as it overlooks the trees and the golf course. However, it lacks that feeling of a wild environment.
  • Activities: 2.5/3. You have free access to the golf course. Equipment rental. Horseback riding and hiking (for a fee).
  • Privacy: 2.5/4. The cabins are close to each other, but you don’t hear the neighbors.
  • Cozy: 4/6. It is cold at night and the shower can have some problems with hot water. The food is delicious and the owners are charming.
  • Transportation: 1.0/2. The road to get there is in bad condition. They can arrange private transportation for you. Or you can take a bus to La Calera and then an UBER (20 min).
