Paipa and around
2 to 4-day trip
Paipa is a charming town famous for its thermal baths, scenic lake, and delectable cheese. Its strategic location also offers easy accessibility for day trips to nearby colonial villages (Iza, Tibasosa, Nobsa, Sogamoso, Firavitoba) and the renowned Tota Lake. You’ll also learn about the exciting history of Boyacá (a key role in the independence of Colombia). Carlos offers a range of packages, and a 2-night stay gives you enough time to relish in the town’s many delights.
You have probably heard of Villa de Leyva, one of Colombia’s most beautiful colonial villages. Thanks to Carlos, you can combine your stay with famous tourist sites such as the Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira or Raquira. Once in Villa de Leyva, you can decide to add several exciting experiences (a wine tour, hikes, museums, …). A 2-night stay is ideal.
If you want to fully enjoy Boyacá, I recommend visiting Paipa and Villa de Leyva. These two destinations will give you the opportunity to uncover the wonders of this beautiful region in just three or four nights, with departure and return from Bogotá.
The plan offered by Claudia, to make a 4-day tour of Boyaca was fabulous, beautiful all the places visited, the hotels selected in Villa de Leyva and Paipa of superior tourist class seemed very good with full and rich breakfasts, comfortable rooms. As for the guides we had the opportunity to be accompanied by Mr. Gabriel and Raul one day, both very kind, attentive and knowledgeable about the region and history, which made our tour was quite enjoyable, a tourist destination 100% recommended, we were very pleased to have done it through Carlos, very accomplished and attentive to our concerns.
