Tobia is a small village located 2 or 3 hours from Bogotá. Every weekend people from the surrounding area come here to get their adrenaline fix. Indeed, Tobia is an excellent place for outdoor activities such as abseiling, rafting, zip line crossing, and canyoning.

 

Getting to Tobia? (+)

From Bogota to Tobia:

  • Take the bus from the Main terminal (Salitre). Departure every 2 hours | Santa Fe | 4 hours
  • If you miss it, you can take a bus to Villeta (3h30) then a taxi to Tobia (20 min)

Where to stay in Tobia

Tobia is a tiny town built along a river. Basic and cheap hotels are located in the center. If you look for something more comfortable, you will have to book your accommodation outside Tobia (5-15 min away). Most of these hotels offer catering services and can organize private transportation.

Things to do in Tobia

Come to Tobia to organize extreme sports activities like water rafting, kayak, zipline, rappelling, and canyoning. Most of the local agencies only sell these tours on weekends.

    You can go down different sections of the river. Lvl 3-4+. The commercial section is easy.

    Canyon with more than 10 waterfalls (20-40 m). Not for novices. Epic experience.
