What you’re really paying for when you travel with us
Behind every trip, there’s work you don’t see
We invest a significant portion of our time and income exploring Colombia in search of destinations, experiences, and accommodations that blow us away. We don’t just browse the internet — we go there.
It takes time and money: building partnerships, earning trust, showing up without knowing if we’ll love the place, taking photos and videos so you know exactly what to expect.
And the more we do it, the better we get — because we compare every new discovery with everything we’ve already experienced in the country
We spend several hours with you — through emails and video calls — to define your ideal trip. Then we contact each of our partners to check availability and confirm prices, which change regularly in Colombia.
Every trip we create represents over 20-25 hours of work, with no guarantee the traveler will book with us.
We collect your payment, convert it to Colombian pesos — losing around 2-3% of your total trip cost in the process, which directly impacts our margin. Then we make each payment to the small local agencies and boutique hotels we work with.
These are small operations, and their organization is… let’s say atypical. Every transaction takes time and patience.
Our team manages logistics in real time.
The day before each step of your trip, we follow up with our partners to make sure everything is ready. During your trip, we stay available quickly if you have a question or if something unexpected comes up.
This availability knows no office hours, no weekends.
In Colombia, many tourism businesses are operated as sole proprietorships with very low overhead costs.
We’re a SAS — a real legal entity. That comes with considerable administrative burden. To put it simply: we have to act as tax collectors on behalf of the government, collecting taxes from all our local partners and explaining why we’re doing it.
That’s the price of growing the right way and offering you a quality service, with the seriousness and accountability you deserve.
