What to expect
After a 1h30 drive in a comfortable van, you're at the rafting depot. Meet your guides, have lunch, and collect your rafting gear, bivouac, and food supplies, then climb into the 4x4 and head for San Francisco.
Leave the village behind to reach the starting point of your adventure. The arieros (muleteers) load the equipment onto the mules while you set off on a 1h30 hike through the forest to the bottom of the canyon.
Once you've reached the bottom and collected your gear, prepare the rafts that will carry you for the next 2 days. Today's route is fairly calm, so take the opportunity to swim in the crystal-clear green water of the river and admire the incredible natural beauty of the canyon.
In the late afternoon, dock on the left bank and help the guides set up camp in the jungle. The place is fantastic and only accessible by boat. Like a true adventurer, spend the night in a hammock.
After an energizing breakfast, get back on your raft in search of adrenalin.
Feel the power of the raw nature that borders the river and forms mountains of lush vegetation.
Make the most of your chance to navigate in the middle of a virgin forest and savor the moment. The most impressive rapids follow one another on this day, taking you to the Puente de Samana, where the experience ends.
Head back to Medellin in a comfortable van full of memories and good times spent with the guides and your crew. On the way back, share your emotions with the rest of the group.
