In Arusi, your day begins with sunlight streaming through your cabin and the distant sound of waves. After a hearty breakfast, you set your own pace: a hike through the jungle to a hidden waterfall, a canoe ride on the Rio Arusicito, or learning about local crafts through shared experiences.

In the evening, sit down for a friendly dinner beneath the wooden beams, then wander the beach or head out for a night walk in search of tropical spiders and snakes. You can spot whales, go snorkeling, or try traditional fishing during the right season.

- Recommended stay: 4 days minimum to truly enjoy the experience

- Seasons to keep in mind:
- Surf: year-round, with best conditions from May to November
- Whale watching: July to October
- Turtle spotting: August to February
- Whale sharks: April to May

- Tides: These are key to planning some walks and activities

- No ATMs in Nuquí: bring cash before your trip

- Transfers: included between Nuquí airport and the ecolodge

- Activities: organized on-site, usually paid in cash

- Flights: from Medellín year-round, and from Pereira only during whale season

- Protect your stuff: you might get wet on the boat between Nuquí and the ecolodge, or when getting off on the beach. Wear things you don’t mind getting wet

- Meals: included with a fixed menu that can be adapted to dietary needs

- Local tax: 39,000 COP/person, payable in cash on arrival
