D1: The city of stone

The famous City of Stone, a jewel of the Serranía de La Lindosa, highlights the astonishing geological phenomena that have shaped this region. This unique area evokes a city made of stone.

Visitors can stroll among its rock formations, which resemble streets, tunnels, and other whimsical shapes. They can also discover the endemic Guaviare Flower.

D2: Cave paintings

Discover the impressive thousand-year-old rock paintings of the Cerro Azul tepuy, located in the heart of the Guaviare region, some forty kilometers from San José Del Guaviare.

Very well preserved, these works are of great archaeological importance and reflect the richness of the ancient history written on the rock.

Other surprises await you during the day, including a visit to a finca with a special history. It is run by a charming family that transitioned from coca cultivation to tourism.

D3: River, cliffs, and forest

Navigate through the narrowest part of the Rio Guayabero, Angosturas II. This section is marked by the sudden narrowing of the river as it passes through the Serranía La Lindosa terrain, giving way to impressive sedimentary rock cliffs and lush vegetation.

Known for its violent rapids during the rainy season, this surprising spot, shaped by water erosion over time, can be admired by boats during the dry season.

Take advantage of this excursion to dip in the Cascade of Love, enjoy a breathtaking view from the mirador, and catch a glimpse of the famous pink dolphins if they appear.

D4: Puerta Orion & Natural formations

After a short 4x4 ride, walk along a scenic trail lined with endemic flora and impressive rock formations. This trail leads to the famous Puerta Orion, a proper emblem for the region and its inhabitants.

Next, head to Picapiedra to observe huge natural stone bridges spanning a stream. These natural formations are truly impressive.

The dry season doesn't mean it won't rain. You're at the threshold of the Amazon. It's impossible to see the colored rivers during this period.
