Roadmap

4 Days

  • Day 1 Bahia Solano Airport > Eco-lodge in El Valle | ~40 min by tuktuk
  • Day 2 Visit to Utria Park with various stops and organize your free time according to your preferences
  • Day 3 Hike in the nature reserve and organize your free time according to your preferences
  • Day 4 Eco-lodge > Bahia Solano Airport | ~40 min by tuktuk

What to expect

A driver will be waiting for you upon your arrival at Bahia Solano Airport. After a 40-minute tuk-tuk ride, you'll discover your eco-lodge and the environment where you'll be staying.

At the entrance, you'll find the reception, the bar, and the bonfire area, all with sea views. Follow the gravel paths that meander through the grass, plants, and trees. These paths lead to the individual cabins, the "tortugarium," the natural pool, the trail to the lookout point, the nature reserve, and the stunning platform where the restaurant is located.

Situated on the beautiful Playa El Almejal, this establishment features a private nature reserve that extends into the jungle and offers top-notch facilities for the area. In this remarkable natural setting, with the ocean on one side and dense forest on the other, you'll create unforgettable memories.

Humpback whales are not the only tourist attraction in the area. Walks on the vast black sand beaches, surrounded by lush jungle and the blue ocean, will leave you in awe.

Plan the activities included in your package with the on-site teams, and decide how to organize your free time to rest or schedule other experiences.

Near the eco-lodge, you can observe wildlife, paddle up a river by canoe and float back down on a tube, explore the jungle in search of brightly colored frogs, surf, appreciate the authenticity of El Valle village, walk on the vast Cuevita Beach, or learn about turtles.

A bit farther away, discover the famous Utria Park and its wooden boardwalk through the mangroves, the island with Playa Blanca and its snorkeling spot, Tigre Waterfall and its aquatic trail, and the stunning Playa Juna with its river that flows into the virgin forest.

Prices:
  • Prices are indicative and should be confirmed with your expert.
  • Prices depend on chosen options, the number of people, and exchange rate variations.
Choose your package:
  • The prices on the page correspond to a private 4-day/3-night stay in a Standard 32m² cabin.
  • You can adjust the duration of your stay to 5, 6, or 7+ days. Decide it with your expert.
  • Two premium cabins are available for 2 people. Located in the upper part of the eco-lodge, they are surrounded by lush vegetation. Their setup is cozy, with one having a sea view and the other a jungle view.
Extras:
  • In addition to the activities included in your package (walk in the nature reserve and visit to Utria Park), you can arrange other experiences:
    • Turtle release or night patrolling between September and December. The first activity involves finding nesting females, collecting the eggs, and keeping them safe until hatching. The second consists of releasing the newborn turtles on the beach during your stay. 50,000 COP/person.
    • Rio Tundo: paddle up this river in a traditional non-motorized canoe for a short jungle walk. Observe wildlife and listen to your guide’s explanations about this natural environment. Return via tubing | ~70,000 COP/person

    • Surf lessons at the great spot on Playa El Almejal: 80,000 COP/person/hour.
Why choose this option:
  • The eco-lodge is located on the most beautiful beach in El Valle, with the village easily accessible on foot.
  • The quality of the facilities and service are among the best in this part of Colombia.
  • Simple but comfortable, clean, and pleasant cabins and facilities in a fabulous environment.
  • A pleasant and peaceful atmosphere. Ideal for families or couples.
  • Memorable sunsets.
  • Walk to the village and explore its vibrant atmosphere.
  • Various activities are planned or organized on-site.
  • High-quality, legally trained guides who know the area very well.
  • Delicious meals.
  • The best surf spot in El Valle is right in front of the eco-lodge.
What may disappoint:
  • The eco-lodge can accommodate between 30 and 40 travelers during high season. While this isn't a large number and may not be noticeable given the spacious and numerous facilities, it could bother some guests. However, this number also makes it easier to organize activities at attractive prices.
