Natural paradise and unique atmosphere

Looking for a laid-back, peaceful place that’s all about nature? Guachalito is a little slice of paradise where simplicity meets authenticity.

Right on a wild, secluded beach, Gonzalo welcomes you to his family-run ecolodge: three simple cabins, each with a private room and private bathroom. The vibe is incredibly relaxed, the home-cooked meals are amazing, and the setting is just right for slowing down and soaking it all in.

From your cabin, you can walk along the empty shoreline, go chasing waterfalls, try your hand at fishing—whether local-style or sport fishing—check out the Ruta del Viche, or even learn to surf. Depending on the season, you might spot whales, watch baby turtles head into the ocean, or take a trip up the Rio Jovi.

Roadmap

4 Days

  • Day 1 Nuqui > Ecolodge in Guachalito | ~45min by boat.
  • Days 2 and 3 Organize your time and activities according to your desires.
  • Day 4 Ecolodge in Guachalito > Nuquí | ~45 minutes by boat.

What to expect

Picture yourself walking with the tides along a wild beach, surrounded by lush jungle and lulled by the sound of the ocean. In Guachalito, Gonzalo’s ecolodge offers a simple and heartfelt refuge, the perfect place to unplug and reconnect with what truly matters.
Over 4 or 5 days, enjoy a rhythm of swimmingbeach walkshidden waterfalls, and meeting locals over a Viche tasting. Depending on the season, you might go whale watching (July to October), witness the release of baby turtles (August to February), or catch a sunset surf session (May to November).
The tide schedule shapes the experience—walks, swims, and even access to certain spots depend on it. Check in each day to make the most of this ever-changing natural setting.
Araw and real escape, full of life and deeply rejuvenating, in the heart of the Pacific.
